Essential Islamic Knowledge

Co-ordinator: Qadi Thanaullah Panipati

This book describes the essential features of purification, prayer, Zakah, fasting etc. It deals with issues that should be known by every Muslim regarding the correct performance of these devotions, which Muslims have little knowledge about. Additionally, intricate matters such as God-fearing behaviour, social behaviour, one's duties to others, individual and collective dealings, salesand purchases, and more are also addressed, with both their correct and distorted forms highlighted.
A section is also devoted to tazkiyah and ihsan, the sincere worship of Allah and attaining tothe true spirit of faith. The main feature of this book is that it deals only with that which is important, with those issues which the average Muslim faces daily. As such it is an invaluable guide to the basic Islamic tenets for the common Muslims and for young people making their entry into adulthood.

Fiqhul Imam

Author: Mufti Abdur Rahman Mangera

The first part of this book seeks to clarify certain aspects of Taqlid that have been misunderstood and gravely distorted. It sheds light on the necessity of taqlid, its history, and its role in today’s world. The second part includes several chapters devoted to issues regarding Salah according to the Hanafi school of law. Through illustrative examples and detailed discussions, the chapters on prayer sufficiently demonstrate the sophisticated legal philosophy employed by the Hanafi school in their derivation of legal rulings from their sources. All rulings have been supported with evidentiary proofs from the Qur’an and Hadith.  The author delivers an even-handed presentation of arguments throughout the book. He to states thefacts in a rational style with a view of appeal to the reader's sense of reason.
